If There's Magic on this Planet
My last photo venture was timed to coincide with the most recent bad weather event here on the Colorado Plateau. It was a doozie.

Super Hero... NOT
One thing is different from my younger days as a photographer. Although I had my share of minor injuries then, it seems I come back from trips with a whole spate of injuries--mostly small but adding up to a painful recovery sometimes.

Why That One?
I remember a song by Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys about how he won a Grammy after 30 years in the music business--not for signing God Only Knows or Good Vibrations, but some obscure song on a solo album. So they song was "Why That One?"

Mentors
Landscape and nature photographers are by their nature often lone wolves. My favorite working environment is a great wild place with as few people around as possible. I would have given anything, though, to have had a mentor.
